Luxury car maker Bugatti teamed up with London-based Little Car to create 500 miniature electric cars for kids. However, the prices for these cars are not cheap at all because they cost up to 35 thousand USD (about 811 million VND).
The French car manufacturer initially introduced the electric car called Bugatti Baby II at the Geneva Motor Show 2019 and confirmed that a total of 500 cars were sold to wealthy parents in the world. But then, the Covid-19 pandemic struck and many of those customers decided not to spend tens of thousands of dollars on this children’s toy. Therefore, Bugatti reopened the number of electric cars produced.
Bugatti Baby II is a miniature version of the Bugatti Type 35 racing car and was built by founder Ettore Bugatti for his son nearly a century ago. However, many Bugatti car owners love it so much that they want a car for their kids. That is the reason why the company created 500 Bugatti Baby II to please car owners.
Bugatti Baby original version
The Bugatti Baby II is electric, but its original version was powered by an internal combustion engine. In addition, its large size also means its target audience is teenagers instead of children.
Bugatti Baby II has three versions and the lowest is priced at $ 35,000 with two driving modes, including Novice mode (speed 19km / h) and Expert version (speed 48km / h). In addition, the company also has expensive variants with faster speeds.
Specifically, the Vitesse and Pur Sang versions are priced at about $ 50,000 and $ 68,000 with Speed Key integration, like the Bugatti Chiron. Thanks to the Speed Key, the maximum speed of the car can be up to 67km / h.
Depending on the weight of the driver, the car can accelerate from 0-100km / h in just 6 seconds.
Although the Bugatti Baby II sounds very impressive for an electric car intended for children, teenagers. But with that said, it’s not cheap, so choosing it as a toy wouldn’t be a good idea.
