It’s not the perfect time to upgrade your Windows 10 to the 1903 build yet, that because of the large variants of Windows editions as well as hardware specification. You may see the Pro Education version has no support channel to upgrade yet, that why Windows Update offers no option to upgrade as well as via the log of this Update Assistant, we know there is no file to download for the Education edition at this moment.

The following things need your attention to continue the installation and keep your Windows settings, personal files and apps.

Why am I seeing this?

Continuing with the installation of Windows will change your display language. To change it back, you’ll need to reinstall the language pack.

Select or connect an external storage device with at least 10.0 GB free

Use an external device such as a USB key, SD card or external hard drive to temporarily extend your hard drive while the updates are being installed. Windows will not reformat your external storage device and you can remove it after installation is complete.

Windows needs space to update

We can’t install the latest Windows 10 features and security improvements on your PC due to low disk space. Free up some space below and then select Refresh.

Free up MB on your PC (C: drive)

– Empty your Recycle Bin to remove deleted files from your system drive.

– Remove large or unused files from your Downloads folder.

– Manually explore your storage usage in settings to remove other large items.

I choose the safest solution to upgrade to Windows 1903 by creating for myself a bootable/recovery USB stick. Moreover, you can reduce installation time because an offline upgrade does not deal with further external storage like Update Assistant.

Trust me, after upgrading to 1903. I have BSOD issue that needs the USB stick to uninstall latest security update then remove corrupted drivers through Safe Mode.
