Airbus is building a super luxury version of the helicopter H160 model called the ACH160, with a starting price of about 14 million, for business or for personal use.
The ACH160 is a “premium” variant of the H160 and is the latest model of the ACH series (this aircraft includes 6 models of business helicopters, which can be customized according to the needs of each customer). Despite the difference in luxury, both the ACH160 and H160 will be delivered to customers by the end of this year.
Parts that can be customized inside the ACH160 include seats (bench seat, separate seats, or a combination of both) to accommodate up to 10 passengers. It is known that a customer in Italy has ordered an ACH160 with 6 seats for guests.
In addition to the guest from Italy mentioned above, this luxury helicopter has also been ordered in eight other countries in Europe, China, Southeast Asia, Latin America and North America.
According to the manufacturer, the ACH160’s design is based on 68 new patents.
The helicopter’s interior is partially designed by the company Pagasus Design. Together, the Airbus and Pagasus Design team designed a super luxurious interior space with large windows to capture more natural light, while also allowing for easier outside viewing. .
Like any other luxury aircraft, inside the ACH160 is a combination of leather, polished wood, and hand-woven carpet.
The ACH160 has a top speed of 155knots, or about 28 km / h, and a cruising range of 852 km.
It can fly continuously for 4 hours and 30 minutes and has a payload of more than 1.1 tons for flights within 222.25km.
According to the Airbus description of the H160, the helicopter has a “new generation turbine engine”, which consumes less fuel than the older engines.
The higher-end model H160 and ACH160 both have the latest cockpit from Helionix, reducing the amount of work pilots have to do.
The helicopter also features an upgraded stabilization system and a lower noise blade.
Combining all of the above, Airbus has created a luxury helicopter with an extremely quiet cabin, and a reliable and safe flight experience.
Besides the luxury ACH160, there are a few other variants of the H160 designed for a variety of uses, including transportation and ambulance, or for public operations.
