OPPO has recently added to its A-series line a new member, the OPPO A72 5G. This is an upgraded version of the OPPO A72 that was launched in April earlier. However, despite being an upgrade, OPPO A72 5G has a different hardware design and configuration compared to the 4G version.
In terms of design, OPPO A72 5G is equipped with a back with a stylized design along with a cluster of three main cameras placed in a square module in the left corner of the back. This camera cluster has been cut a lens compared to the standard version, including: a 16MP main sensor with wide-angle lens, an 8MP sensor with super wide-angle lens and a 2MP sensor for depth measurement.
On the front, OPPO A72 5G is equipped with a “mole” screen similar to the standard version, this screen of the device has a size of 6.5 inches, Full HD + resolution, using IPS LCD panel along with the frequency 90Hz scan number. The “mole” area of the device is where the 8MP selfie camera is located. Because it does not use AMOLED screen, the fingerprint sensor of the device will be placed on the side, integrated directly into the power button similar to OPPO A52 and A92.
In terms of configuration, OPPO A72 5G is equipped with a chip from MediaTek instead of Qualcomm as the standard version. This chip is a 7nm Dimensity 720 with built-in 5G, this is the same chip that MediaTek introduced a few days ago. Comes with this chip is 8GB RAM capacity and 128GB storage memory. It runs on Android 10 with ColorOS 7.2 interface. The battery of the machine has a capacity of 4040mAh, supports 18W fast charging via USB-C port.
In terms of price, OPPO A72 5G will be sold in China in the near future at a price of 1899 yuan, equivalent to about 6.3 million VND for the only memory version of 8GB + 128GB. It will be available with color options like Neon, Oxygen Violet and Simple Black.
