Originally a little-known webcomic series made on the internet by ONE since 2009, One Punch Man has quickly flashed and became a phenomenon on social networks. In 2012, One Punch Man attracted 7.9 million views. Shortly thereafter, author ONE received an invitation to transform the work into a manga and was drawn by famous mangaka Yusuke Murata.
According to the story of author ONE, Saitama becomes extremely powerful after 3 years of training and “plowing” hard. Even at the present moment, there is almost no one left that can withstand a single punch from Saitama. Saitama’s hegemony comes from his own hard work, but it does not have a small “help” from the monster named Crablante.
Who is Crablante?
Crablante was originally a mediocre monster, only at Tiger level. He was originally a human, but was later turned into a “crab man” just because he ate too many crabs. After transforming into a monster, he has an upper half in the form of a real crab, with extremely strong pincers. However, his lower body still takes the form of a human while still wearing a pair of white underwear, along with extremely muscular legs.
Personality-wise, Crablante is extremely bloodthirsty, ready to slaughter people just because he wants to find a boy who writes dirty on his body. According to this monster, he has an amazing body. It is his pride and he is ready to destroy anything that contaminates it
Crablante’s relationship with Saitama
Crablante is the first monster Saitama meets in his life, since our bald brother still has hair and is not as powerful as it is now. He was surprised that almost everyone was afraid of him, but not Saitama. The reason for this was that Saitama was unemployed and had lost his purpose to live, so he was not eager for anything to happen around him. This makes Crablante feel sympathetic to his lifeless eyes, ignoring “he is bald and still has hair”.
Later, the two encounter at the park, when Crablante tries to kill the boy, and Saitama tries to save the boy’s life. Although she did not have extraordinary health as she was later, Saitama was able to defeat that weird monster. This is also one of the “key” battles to create the “bald cape” guy like now.
After three years since the defeat of Crablante, Saitama has become what it is today. The cost is a hair loss and an empty heart. In addition, his life suddenly … became very boring because he became “lonely and defeated”.
