During the first time playing Genshin Impact, you can freely explore the game without realizing that Resin exists. You don’t need it for primary or side quests or exploration & gathering. But once around AR30 is reached and all the tasks are solved, you have very little left to do, one of which is to consume the Resin (Pure Plastic).
How is resin needed?
Resin is similar to Stamina or Stamina, a system most other gacha games have. Plastic will recover one point every 8 minutes, which means it is needed 16 hours to fill 120 Plastic. Most of the core game features require Resin:
– Squash: 20 Resin.
– Lichen: 20 Resin.
– Boss breakthrough material: 40 Resin.
– Boss week: 60 Resin.
– Elemental Furnace: 40 Resin.
Thus, AR 30+ players will have a need to use Resin more, has become a matter of player survival in Genshin Impact. Today, Resin is the most talked about topic on GI communities on Facebook, Twitter and Reddit. Many people suggested that Mihoyo change and adjust the resin system in the game. Before that happens, here are ways for you to earn more Resin and be able to use Resin properly.
What are the ways to earn Resin?
In addition to waiting for the resin to heal gradually, there are two other ways to get the resin immediately. You can use Fragile Resin to get 60 Resins, or a second way is to use Proliths to exchange resins.
With Fragile Plastic, players can earn from increased AR. However considering that players are now only in AR 30-35, this is not a way to earn a lot of Resin regularly. Even the higher the level, the more economical the player must use the Friable Plastic.
Gemstone can instantly recover 60 Resin. However it’s a special currency, usually just for using gacha characters and weapons. Players are allowed to exchange Resin 6 times with Gemstone per day, however the price will gradually increase:
First time: 50 Nguyen Thach
The second time: 100 Nguyen Thach
The third time: 100 Nguyen Thach
The fourth time: 150 Nguyen Thach
The fifth time: 200 Nguyen Thach
The sixth time: 200 Nguyen Thach
It seems that this conversion rate is too expensive because most players want to accumulate the Gemstone for the gacha. That’s the big problem Genshin Impact AR 30+ players are facing right now. Many people want developer MiHoYo to change the system to make resin easier. Activities that require resin are usually completed fairly quickly, so instead of being able to play for many hours in a row, you only need 20-30p to drain the resin.
The best way is for players to be on time to use the Resin: Once in the morning and once in the evening. You can still spend more than 200 Resin a day if you choose the right time to play. The good news is that in the coming November 1.1 update, players can get more plastic daily when logging in.
Some tips for using Resin in Genshin Impact
1. Prefer resin for what you need. If you are short of item upgrade items, weapons, spend the resin for it first.
2. Don’t leave your resin at the limit of 120 for too long, you are wasting the amount of resin you can get by minute regeneration.
3. The upgraded materials are more important than the rare equipment. Prioritize the upgrade materials & character breakthroughs before thinking of finding a Holy Relic or weapon. Character strength will change significantly just based on leveling up and Thien Phu.
4. Use Fragile Plastic when you really need it, for example with the Weekly Boss or when needing character breakout ingredients.
There is no shortcut to earning more Resin in Genshin Impact. You need to be patient and hope that MiHoYo tweaks this system. Although it is a necessary mechanism, the resin system now becomes a defect that hinders the great experience of gamers.
