The good news for those who intend to order the Galaxy Z Fold2 to be released on September 1: Samsung’s new folding screen smartphone will have a cheaper price than the Galaxy Fold. Firstly.
This information is shared by renowned leaker Roland Quandt, who always delivers highly accurate information on unreleased product lines. Specifically, according to Roland, Galaxy Z Fold2 will have a price of 1999 EUR, which is 100 EUR cheaper than the first generation Galaxy Fold. Note that this price is the price for the European market and the European market is always a higher price than the world average.
To be able to reduce the price for the Galaxy Z Fold2, Samsung is expected to cut some factors on the new folding screen smartphone, such as the reduced storage memory from 512GB to 256GB (of course the machine will still does not support memory card). Other parameters of screen or performance will remain Samsung unchanged.
In the US market, last year Galaxy Fold was priced at 1980 USD. Thus, with Samsung cutting some factors on the new Fold2, the price of the machine in the US market will likely drop to 1799 USD, 180 USD lower than the original price. Samsung will not be able to lower the price of the device below 1600 USD because this segment is the segment of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G.
Samsung will hold a special event to announce more information about the Galaxy Z Fold2 on September 1. This time is also the time when users can reserve the device. It is not clear whether Samsung plans to bring the Galaxy Z Fold2 to the Vietnamese market.
