Recently, in HAWKMAN # 23, DC Comics has revealed that Hawkman was a plague doctor in the 17th century, while the famous plague of the Black Death (second) was raging across Europe.
This is also said to be the most tragic life of Hawkman, when this immunity to pandemic caused “Doctor Hawkman” to be hated and scared by his patients. This is the reason why all the villagers discriminated against and wanted to kill him, when their gratuitous hatred struck him because they thought that he was a demon who had no intention of saving people.
The ridiculous hatred of the villagers.
While Hawkman was about to be killed, a red-haired girl named Nayara appeared and stopped it, and advised the villagers to know to accept their fate, instead of deliberately blaming others. And again, Hawkman in that life continued to accompany a red-haired girl, like his past lives and forever.
Thanks to the experience of the terrible memories from this life, Carter Hall succeeded in regaining control of the body from Sky Tyrant. Fortunately, because if Carter was late, the Hawkwoman would have had to defeat him to prevent him from becoming a devil.
If you remember, Sky Tyrant is the past life from Earth 3 (where evil villains rule the world, namely Crime Syndicate – opposite of Justice League) of Hawkman and gain control of his body through intervention Batman Who Laughs not so long ago, thanks to this Batman-powered Batarang – to force him to join his Secret Six legions for a chance to defeat Apex Lex.
Sky Tyrant – Carter’s past life comes from Earth 3.
After reading Hawkman’s diary, Sky Tyrant went in search of a key that could free the dark entity Lord Beyond the Void, the former owner of Ktar Deathbringer, the first life of Hawkman.
However, his plot was stopped by Hawkwoman Shayera Hol along with two of Hawkman’s best friends, Adam Strange and Atom. In the latest developments, the Hawkwoman and Sky Tyrant have touched this key together and were swept into the dimension of Lord Beyond the Void. So in order to deal with Lord Beyond the Void, Hawkman will have to regain control of the body from the Sky Tyrant beforehand. And now, his journey is being shorter than ever.
The dimension of Lord Beyond the Void.
* For those who do not know, the current HAWKMAN series has revealed a lot about his past lives, such as Prince Khufu of ancient Egypt, Katar Hol of Thanagar, Catar-Ol of Krypton or maybe Rann’s Katarthul, the medieval Silent Knight, or the Western Nighthawk gunner.
In HAWKMAN # 7, writer Rob Venditti reveals the origin of Carter’s first life, Ktar Deathbringer, the president of the Deathbringer – the interplanetary assassin army, the terror of the universe.
The first life of Carter Hall – the mighty warrior Ktar Deathbringer.
Every time they completed a massacre, they would sacrifice a lot of people for a man named Lord Beyond the Void – a living entity in the rift space near the planet Qgga. In many massacres, Ktar began to see a red-haired woman make his conscience feel guilty.
The appearance of the red-haired woman made Ktar’s conscience become guilty and weak.
Everything culminated in the last sacrifice to summon Lord Beyond the Void to this universe. Ktar betrayed the Deathbringer as well as destroyed the planet Qgga, and caused the Deathbringer to be swept to the other side of reality.
Ktar betrayed Lord Beyond the Void.
After his death, Ktar was given a chance to be reincarnated by a certain entity – possibly God – to compensate for the sin in his first life.
Ktar Deathbringer is given the opportunity to reincarnate forever, to compensate for the sins of the first life.
