Recently posted on Twitter, billionaire Elon Musk shared, Tesla has promptly produced a number of ventilators meeting the standards of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Musk revealed that he would soon be able to ship ventilators to the world for free in Tesla’s delivery area.
According to the disclosure, some of Tesla’s shipping addresses include North American countries such as the US, Canada and Mexico, in addition to some countries in Europe and Asian countries like Japan, China, Taiwan and South Korea.
Musk did not say, however, the number of ventilators to be shipped to countries and the priority given to countries.
Reuters said that many governments have ordered Tesla to produce ventilators and other medical devices in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic that has spread to more than 200 countries around the world and has more than 931,000 people infected and 46 thousand people died.
Earlier this week, the carmaker Ford said the company would convert its production line to produce about 50,000 ventilators over the next 100 days at the factory in Michigan. The company then plans to produce about 30,000 units a month if the demand for Covid-19 treatment increases.
Last week, billionaire Elon Musk donated more than 1.2 thousand ventilators to the state of California to improve the treatment capacity of local hospitals. These medical supplies are purchased by Musk from China. Musk shared: “China is experiencing an oversupply so we bought 1,255 FDA-approved ResMed, Philips & Medtronic ventilators and brought them to Los Angeles. If you want a free ventilator, please let us know. know”.
Since the completion of the translation, billionaire Elon Musk has made many opposite statements regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. When the outbreak was just breaking out in the US, Musk repeatedly “lowered” the dangers of Covid-19 when it was available speak think that people should not panic because of this pandemic. Even in emails sent to employees, Musk continued suppose, I think SARS-CoV2 virus is not among the top 100 health hazards in the US.
But when the Covid-19 epidemic broke out violently in the US and caused hundreds of thousands of people infected, Musk was forced to changing attitudes and giving employees a break from work if needed to prevent outbreaks or a willingness to manufacture breathing apparatus if a shortage occurs.
