As a result of the Covid-19 epidemic, Apple will have to host the WWDC 2020 event for developers. According to previous rumors, Apple may launch a completely new accessory at WWDC 2020. However, so far, the event time has not been announced by Apple.
The accessory is AirTags, a removable battery card that attaches to keys, pet collars, luggage, motorbikes, and more. This card can accurately locate and help you find lost items.
Although there have been many rumors, but Apple has not made any official announcement or confirmation. To this day, a video posted by Apple that shows how to clean the iPhone screen has unintentionally revealed and confirmed the AirTags accessory.
The video, posted about 15 minutes before being removed by Apple, had more than 1,500 viewers. In it, we can see a custom menu to enable the “Enable Offline Finding” feature. Below is a description “Offline search allows finding devices and AirTags when there is no WiFi or mobile connection”.
AirTags will work with the Find My app, and will be equipped with a USB U1 chip for the tracking system similar to the 2019 iPhone models.
Earlier this year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that AirTags would be launched by Apple in Q2 or Q3 of this year. He also predicts that 10 million AirTags will be produced by 2020.
